Colts Players And Their Bowling Hi-jinks

It's rare to see a team as professional and as by-the-book as the Colts during moments of levity; when the lights of the media aren't on them and they can just act like themselves. Thanks to third-year wideout Pierre Garçon, we are provided one of those rare moments.

After the team's August 16th practice, before they broke training camp, the entire Colts team went to a local Anderson, IN bowling alley to play in a tournament between the offense and the defense. The winning side received free iPads. Stampede Blue blogged about the event as it happened due in part to so many Colts players Tweeting about it. Pierre Garçon, an avid Tweeter himself, took it one step further.

He digitally recorded the event and posted it on YouTube and Facebook. Watch it after the jump...

Easily, this is one of the funniest, freshest look-ins on the Colts that I have ever seen. It's unfiltered. It's free-spirited. It's just plain fun, and it provides you, the viewer, a small glimpse into how close many of these players are.

Some of the highlights:

• Garçon and Jerraud Powers calling Mike Newton 'Little Bob Sanders."
• Garçon trash-talking Dwight Freeney as Freeney gets ready to roll. Freeney brushes him off, hits a strike, and walks back like it's no one's business. Garcon responds "That was luck, Free Man!"
• Garçon yelling at Peyton Manning. Peyton turns around, sees Garçon, and gets excited. Apparently, Garçon is a really good bowler. Peyton points to Garçon and says, "You bowling?" Garçon says he can't. He's injured and the coaches don't want him bowling. Peyton gets visibly annoyed, knowing not having Garçon makes it harder to win.
• Defensive players complaining that Manning, who bowled terrible in warm-ups, hits two strikes and a spare to start.
• When the defense gets together before the tournament starts, they do a group cheer. They shout "De-Fense!" Garçon follows with "Sucks!"
• Adam Vinatieri doing some weird but highly funny celebration dance after hitting a strike.

The video is 100% hilarious and fun. It shows this team as a pretty close knit collection of characters. Bravo to PG 85 for making and posting this.
