Butler Vs. Green Bay Final Score: Bulldogs Lose Second Straight, 80-68

The Butler Bulldogs (12-11, 6-6) were at the Resch Center on Saturday night to take on the Green Bay Phoenix (9-12, 5-6), a team the Bulldogs have beaten five times in a row and 14 out of their last 15 match ups, including a 53-49 win on December 29 this season. Green Bay finally found a way on Saturday night, though, defeating Butler by 12 in front of the Phoenix crowd.

Junior big man Brennan Cougill led the Phoenix with 21 points on 6-for-11 shooting, eight rebounds, and four assists. Center Alex Brown added 19 points and eight rebounds for Green Bay, who shot 48-percent and outrebounded the Bulldogs.

Roosevelt Jones led the Bulldogs with 16 points on 15 shots and grabbed eight rebounds to go with those.

Butler has now lost two in a row and 11 for the season, the most ever for a Brad Stevens team at Butler. They are off until Thursday when they play Wright State.

Butler Vs. Green Bay Game Preview: Bulldogs Look To Continue Success Against Phoenix

The Butler Bulldogs (12-10, 6-4) head to the Resch Center on Saturday night to take on the Green Bay Phoenix (8-12, 4-6) in a Horizon League showdown. Butler has won five in a row over the Phoenix, including a 53-49 victory on December 29 this season, and 14 of 15 overall.

Butler, who sits in fifth in the Horizon standings, lost by 11 to the 14-8 Milwaukee Panthers on Thursday. It was the 10th loss of the season, which equals the most for a Brad Stevens Butler team, and they'll have to win-out to avoid his worst season. Saturday night will be their last leg of a four-game road trip.

Green Bay on the other hand beat Valparaiso on Thursday by 15. Saturday night's tilt with the Bulldogs will be their second of three straight home games.

Tip off is at 7 p.m. eastern time.
