The Indiana Hoosiers, who hadn't knocked off a No. 1 ranked team since the NCAA tournament in 2002, defeated No. 1 Kentucky on Saturday evening via buzzer beater at the rabid Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
Indiana led for most of the game, and by as many as 10 with a little over nine minutes remaining in the game, but it looked like they were going to suffer a heartbreaking loss after Kentucky took a two point lead with just over five seconds left and the Hoosiers left without a timeout.
However, Indiana had a play drawn up from the timeout they took between Kentucky's free throws and ran it to 'perfection' (despite what Crean said after the game), because in the end it resulted in Christian Watford getting a wide open look for the win, which he drilled. Bedlam:
Indiana shot 60-percent from three-point range in the game, allowing them to stay in the game until the end and, ultimately, being the difference.
