Will Sheehey 'Getting Closer' To Return For Indiana Hoosiers

The Indiana Hoosiers received a huge boost off the bench from senior guard Matt Roth in their win over Penn State on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers needed every bit of Roth's season-high 22 points which included draining 5 of 6 three-point attempts.

But as Indiana's promising season rolls on, they will desperately need the versatile game sophomore swingman Will Sheehey brings off the bench. Sheehey has yet to play a Big Ten game this year, missing the last five games with a leg injury.

After the win over the Nittany Lions, coach Tom Crean mentioned missing what Sheehey brings to the table at both ends of the floor, according to tweets from Jeff Rabjohns.

Tom Crean said Penn St was great on D "... but we have to do better in recognition, especially in changing defense and we will."

Tom Crean: "If you have Will Sheehey in (some) situations, it changes things."

Tom Crean on Will Sheehey: "We're getting closer. We're getting closer all the time. He's getting better."

The Hoosiers host Minnesota on Thursday before travelling to Columbus next Sunday for a rematch with the Ohio State Buckeyes. If Sheehey is truly close, a return to the court for game against Ohio State could give the Hoosiers a boost as they look for a signature road win.
