Despite the mid-week loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Indiana Pacers still look on pace to have a strong showing this week with a big win over the Utah Jazz and two very good shots at winning more during the weekend. The back to back starts Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies are stuck in a bit of a mediocre spell so far this season, though they did beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last game to push themselves back to .500. The Grizz had a great playoff run back in 2010/2011 and most of their wins since then have been hard worked due mostly to a slight lack of talent overall on the team past their all star center, Marc Gasol.
The second leg of the back to back sees Indiana travel to the Mile High City to face the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets certainly started the year off strong, but have been in a bit of a free fall lately since losing their highest scoring player Danilo Gallinari. Their losing streak currently stands at five straight with their latest set back to the Golden State Warriors.
