Pacers Vs. Heat Final Score: Miami Pounds Indiana, 105-90

The Indiana Pacers hosted the Miami Heat in the hopes of ending a three-game losing skid on Tuesday night, but the Heat were not one to oblige. At halftime, the Heat held a 68-39 lead over the Pacers and just seemed to coast from there in the second half to an easy win, handing the Pacers their fourth loss in a row. The Pacers were able to score 32 points in the final quarter to make the score look a bit better than it was, but by then the Heat had put it in cruise control.

LeBron James led the Heat in scoring with 23 points with 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Point guard Norris Cole picked up 20 points off the bench while Dwayne Wade added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Chris Bosh ended the night with 13 points and 7 rebounds.

For the Pacers in the loss, David West led the way with 14 points while five other players on Indiana picked up double digit points. Paul George score 12 points while A.J. Price picked up 12 points off the bench. The Pacers have now lost their fourth game in a row.

Pacers Vs. Heat: Red-Hot Heat Pay Visit To Indy

Last Friday the Pacers lost two games in a row for the first time all season. On Saturday it was three in a row, and then – well, we’ll figure that out Tuesday night.

Indiana hosts the surging Miami Heat at Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. The Heat have won three in a row and six of seven, so they aren’t the ideal team to face trying to snap a three-game skid.

The Pacers’ slide began last Wednesday in Atlanta (97-87) and continued Friday at Memphis (98-92). Indy then returned home, where it was 7-2 on the season, and lost a 113-109 shootout to the Nuggets, who came in losers of five straight of their own.

That loss dropped the Pacers to 17-10. They have since slipped into fifth place in the East, swapping places with Atlanta.

On the bright side, David West is playing his best basketball of the season. West notched back-to-back 20-point games for the first time all year, scoring 22 in each of the last two and hitting 18 of 24 shots combined. On the season he is averaging just 12.4 points.

The Heat have won their last three by an average of 18.3 points. The last time these two hooked up, on Jan. 4, Miami pounded Indy 118-83, easily the Pacers’ worst loss of the season.

The game will be on Fox Sports Indiana HD, as well as NBA TV.
