Pacers Vs. Mavericks: Indiana Go For Four Straight Wins Against Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers have both had quite a bit of success this season thus far, though it's been a bit more frustrating for the defending champions as they'd hoped. (Ideally, everyone will use any excuse possible to shoehorn that clip into any situation.)

The Pacers haven't had a winning season since their coach was current Mavs manager Rick Carlisle but they look to be well on their way to one as they've put together a surprisingly strong campaign and currently sit at 15-6 looking for their fourth win in a row on Friday night. Carlisle has complimented his old team this season, saying that they are 'one of a handful of teams that's a legit contender for a title'.

The Mavericks might be getting some key players back, as they missed both Lamar Odom and Jason Kidd in their last loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Dirk Nowitziki still hasn't found his groove yet, which has been holding the Mavs back a bit in recent games.

The Pacers have lost seven straight games on the road in Dallas. The game will be at the American Airlines Center at 8:30 PM ET.
