The Pacers have a four game week featuring two back to backs.
The Indiana Pacers are coming off a disappointing loss to the Orlando Magic on Saturday, but that can only put so much of a damper on what was a four-game winning streak, and what is becoming a fantastic season.
And Tom Ziller at SB Nation has the Pacers knocking on the door of the top ten teams in the NBA in the latest NBA Power Rankings.
| 12. | Indiana Pacers | 16-7 | W: NJ, MIN, DAL; L: ORL | Indy Cornrows |
| Indiana has shot up the standings this season despite free agent acquisition David Westplaying pretty non-noteworthy ball, Danny Granger getting off to a tough shooting start and no one taking the point guard reins by force. (Darren Collison has them.) Roy Hibbert's been excellent, and could be in the All-Star Game. Paul George has been a revelation. | ||||
As Tom Lewis at Indy Cornrows writes, smash-mouth basketball is toughening up the Pacers in more ways than one, as coach Frank Vogel is truly rubbing off on the team.

All eyes were on Indianapolis the past week or so because of the Super Bowl where the New York Giants and New England Patriots lit up Lucas Oil Stadium. Now that the hoopla of the big game is over, the eyes of Indy can return to the intriguing Indiana Pacers team that has been converting doubters with every win this season. They'll face another busy week with two back to backs as they try to boost their 16-7 record.
Tuesday brings the Utah Jazz to town. Utah have been an entertaining team to follow lately, they've caused an absolute meltdown by Mike Brown in a game against the Lakers and had some drama with Karl Malone to boot. Their basketball hasn't been quite as entertaining and they're only a 13-9 team but it should still be a good matchup.
Wednesday the Pacers will take on the Atlanta Hawks in Georgia. The Hawks have been great this season but have dropped two straight home games during a homestand -- the Pacers will be their final game on that stand.
The weekend brings another back to back for Indy as they'll travel to see the Memphis Grizzlies before meeting the Denver Nuggets at home.

Pacers Schedule 2012: Indiana Face Two Winnable Weekend Games
Despite the mid-week loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the Indiana Pacers still look on pace to have a strong showing this week with a big win over the Utah Jazz and two very good shots at winning more during the weekend. The back to back starts Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies are stuck in a bit of a mediocre spell so far this season, though they did beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last game to push themselves back to .500. The Grizz had a great playoff run back in 2010/2011 and most of their wins since then have been hard worked due mostly to a slight lack of talent overall on the team past their all star center, Marc Gasol.
The second leg of the back to back sees Indiana travel to the Mile High City to face the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets certainly started the year off strong, but have been in a bit of a free fall lately since losing their highest scoring player Danilo Gallinari. Their losing streak currently stands at five straight with their latest set back to the Golden State Warriors.
