Read More: Dallas Clark (TE - IND), Indianapolis Colts
At this point it's starting to look like the Indianapolis Colts not picking Andrew Luck with the first overall pick would be the most monumental mistake in football history, that's how many people agree on the pick. WalterFootball has a new 2012 NFL Mock Draft out and he follows the same logic with Luck going first overall, but it's his pick for the Colts in round two that is slightly more intriguing.
With the 34th overall selection the Colts are slated in this draft to take Coby Fleener, a tight end out of the same school as Luck, Stanford.
If Clark is let go, Indianapolis will definitely consider the talented and rising Coby Fleener as a replacement. As I wrote earlier, teams that draft quarterbacks early often spend another pick to complement their new franchise signal-caller. Why not give Andrew Luck a familiar weapon to work with?
The logic is there for sure, it'd be a quick and easy way to get Luck involved with the offense right away since he'd already have the passing chemistry with his new teammate. Dallas Clark unfortunately can't play forever, so it's a move that makes sense.
