Notre Dame's Unused Timeouts Vs. USC Sell For $53.50 On Ebay

A couple weeks ago vs. Southern Cal, with 6:43 left in the game, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly decided to not use any of his timeouts, despite only being down 31-17. USC proceeded to run out the clock:

The lack of [calling] timeouts also led to USC players questioning Notre Dame's desire to continue playing.

"(It) had nothing to do with, 'Hey, we quit or we give up,' " Kelly said of not using a timeout. "(It) just never felt like a timeout was something I was going to … I thought about it, but why I didn't call the timeout had nothing to do with, 'Hey, we're throwing in the towel.' "

Some Notre Dame fans didn't quite see it how Kelly saw it. In fact, one salty Notre Dame fan put a pair of shiny Brian Kelly timeouts up for auction on Ebay.
