Notre Dame, Indiana and Louisville remain in the Top 25 of both the AP and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Polls.
Feb 20, 2012 - After a week of nail-biting action, the Louisville Cardinals moved up two spots in the AP Poll to No. 17 and one spot in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll where they also are ranked 17th.
Louisville tested No. 2 Syracuse, but eventually fell to the Orangemen, 52-51, at the KFC Yum! Center on Monday night. The Cardinals rebounded on Saturday night with a comeback win over the unranked DePaul Blue Demons. Louisville trailed by 20 at the half, but pulled off a stunning turnaround in a 90-82 overtime thriller.
Louisville is tied for second in the Big East with Notre Dame, which continued to climb the polls, pulling off its eight consecutive victory to move into No. 20 in the AP Top 25 and No. 18 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Fighting Irish now stand at 19--8, 11-3 in the Big East. Notre Dame claimed a win over Rutgers and its own overtime win over Villanova.
Indiana, meanwhile, fell a few spots in the polls with a disappointing 12-point loss to Iowa. The Hoosiers, just 8-7 in the Big 10, are ranked 23rd in the AP Poll and 24th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
